Description: This specification covers a series of environmentally resistant electrical cables and connectors based on the USB Type-C ® specification, called USB-C Military (USB-CM). The connectors designated herein are intended to meet all the performance requirements of the USB Type-C ® cables and connectors commercial specification and are enhanced to operate under extreme environmental and temperature conditions required for US Department of War use. Where a conflict between the Type-C ® specification and this document exists, the specification in this document shall take precedence. See 6.1 for intended use, application notes, application restrictions, and derating factors.
