3rd Annual Transformative Teaching Conference: The Joy of Invention 2027

Join us for a teacher-powered conference where 6--12 educators learn from peers, share practice, and explore the Joy of Invention. Teaching has always been an act of invention. Join us for the 3rd Annual Transformative Teaching Conference at Crystal Springs Uplands School, a teacher-powered day of learning, creativity, and connection for 6--12 educators. This year's theme, The Joy of Invention, celebrates the creative spirit at the heart of teaching and learning. Every day, educators design experiences, solve problems, make connections, test ideas, respond to learners, and imagine new possibilities. Students, too, are at their best when they have opportunities to wonder, create, experiment, collaborate, take meaningful risks, and bring their own ideas into the world. Throughout the day, educators will learn from one another in teacher-powered conference sessions, share practices and ideas, and explore the places where teachers and students are building, experimenting, questioning, making, revising, connecting, and discovering together. Sessions will highlight classroom practices, works in progress, new approaches to familiar challenges, and ideas participants can continue exploring within their own communities. Together, we'll explore the Joy of Creation, Curiosity, Connection, Discovery, Experimentation, Agency, and Reimagination, from student voice and authentic learning to assessment, technology, AI, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the structures of school itself.
