The Village of Tequesta Council held a special meeting to conduct the second budget hearing. During the meeting, the Council announced the proposed millage rate of 6.4595 mills and the operating millage rate necessary to fund the budget, which is 5.63% greater than the rollback rate. The purpose of the increased ad valorem revenues is to cover rising operational costs, public safety salaries and benefits, and other contractual obligations. Following this, the Council approved Resolution 19-26, which set the final millage rate for the 2026-2027 fiscal year, and approved Resolution 20-26, which adopted the 2026-2027 budget.
