The town hall meeting focused on educating citizens about the proposed Flexible Local Option Sales Tax (FLOST). The presentation also addressed concerns from the public regarding the tax's impact on renters, the potential for sales tax to disadvantage lower-income residents, and the rationale behind increasing the total sales tax rate.
