Public Works Committee Meeting
The committee discussed resolution R2026-017 regarding the estuary restoration project. The primary focus was on reaffirming the city's commitment to the project to demonstrate support to state and federal funders, which is critical for securing future construction funding. Members also addressed the project's timeline, the dependency on external funding, and the necessity of continued regional partnerships. The committee agreed to move the resolution to the City Council consent calendar and noted that a future briefing from the Department of Ecology would be beneficial to provide updates on project status and timelines.
