Council Regular Meeting
The council meeting included several proclamations, designating October 2026 as Inclusion Month and November 25, 2026, as the Day to End Violence Against Women. The meeting's primary agenda item was the review of a previously denied Development Variance Permit (DVP) application regarding flood-proof construction requirements. This review was conducted in response to a mandate from the Supreme Court of British Columbia, requiring the council to reconsider the application in light of the applicant's prior consultation with county staff during the initial design and construction phase.
