Ddars Advisory Council Advisory Council Meeting
The council meeting involved introductions where members shared their professional and personal backgrounds related to disability advocacy. The presentation clarified the necessity of both initial and annual evaluations to maintain eligibility for Medicaid-funded home and community-based services, emphasizing that a diagnosis of an intellectual disability alone does not guarantee program access without meeting substantial functional limitations in specific life areas.
